Christmas Pictures!

We resently had our neighbor take pictures of us in the long johns that Bobbi bought us from Tombstone, Arizona. They're the cool kind that have the butt flap and everything. The lady that took the pictures put these cards together as well. We had one picture of Davey with his butt flap open, but it didn't make the cut for the cards. :(

California living!

We're in California!! Newhall, Ca is the place to be now days. Newhall is 26 miles NW of LA (just to give you an idea of where we are. We are 5 minutes = Magic Mountain, 32 minutes = Hollywood, 40 minutes = beach, and 60 minutes = Disneyland!!! Don't get jealous :)

<-Our bathroom. We only have one, so if you come and visit you will have to share with us. I want to paint the bathroom but can't decide on a color so it remains white.

I love the tile work in the bathroom. It looks a lot like the tile that we had in Draper and so sometimes when I shower I pretend like I'm still there....

This is our bedroom, where all the furniture matches!!! I will show before and after pictures on my next post.

Kitchen. Oh, rental properties out here do NOT come with refridgerators. So that white fridge is ours.

More Kitchen...I got that high chair on craigslist for $30 (Normally $139). Love it.

Well, I finshed a blog! It's a miracle!!

Europe!

I finally decided to start blogging! Especially since we live so far away from everyone now! So this is about our wonderful trip to Spain and South France! I loved it but wished that I was there longer, although I think that David was glad that the trip was as short as it was.

This is most of the group that went with us! Davey loved to spend time with all of these wonderful people.

Meet Santa Barbara: Goddess of Artillery- I thought it'd be appropriate for me to take a picture with my name sake and inspiration in life.

Davey and I posing as the Black Madonna and Baby Jesus. Matt wasn't supposed to be in this picture and Davey wasn't supposed to smile- it is ruining the effect we were going for ;)

So after we waited in a long line in a smoggy, hot, and stinky building to see the Black Madonna we went into a room where people left things for the statue- people write poems and give expensive or valueable things to it. As you can see here we gave our most valuable possession as well.

Barcelona! So much city in so little space!

This is one of the beautiful cathedrals in Barcelona but more importantly the very catheral where Christopher Colomburs met the King and Queen of Spain! This church took 600 years to make (I think I'm remembering correctly) and was 200 years old when Chris got there! So old and so beautiful and still in use! As you can see they are doing renovations on it to help it out.

I was a very hot(warm) mama in front of a castle in france. They actually built this castle for the Pope and it was very interesting inside and sooo warm- we took off all of Davey's clothes and kept pouring water on him to cool him off.
I wore my 5 Fingers for most of the trip, however in this little city it didn't work so well, the cobblestone roads KILLED my feet and calves after a while!
I thought that this court yard was pretty cool. It was on the third floor of the castle- I think that one day I'll have a back yard on my middle floor too...
Good Bye Europe and onto California!

Flippin' Over

So yesterday, David decided it was time to roll over. We were wondering when he was going to try! Until now he really never tried to figure it out. When he got tired laying on his stomach, he would just lay his head down and rest for a bit.

However, yesterday he wanted to get a better view of a warning label on his play mat. So he figured out how to get on his side, but he would just look at the label and play with it. Then he decided he would try to go further and......HE DID IT!!! We are so proud.

I almost got the first time on camera, but he didn't want to wait. So I had to film the second success.

Drew and Mimi were singing and right in the middle of the performance Davey started smiling big time!!
